coolant leaking back near oil pan 200 1980

I was going to change my oil yesterday when I noticed some coolant dripping near the oil drain plug. The leak was coming from the trunk side of the oil pan not the engine side. So more toward the middle area of the car. I know I have a leaking water pump seal that causes the coolant leak a little. However, I couldn't see how coolant from the seal was causing a leak under the car by the pan. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening. The car is an 80DL non turbo AT. I thought at first it was the tranny but wrong kind of fluid, this was light green as apposed to red ATF.
