Rear Speakers in a '90 245 200

Hello fellow brick owners:

I'm sure with all the great minds on Brickboard, someone has figured out a way to get some decent speakers into the rear of a 245 without having to spend more than my wagon is worth at the local custom stereo shop.

I am hoping to disconnect the crappy things that Volvo called speakers in the rear doors with bigger speakers in the original location or my preference will be to install 6x9s somewhere in the rear.

Locations I have thought about are:

1) located right behind back seat onto of the rear wheel wells by mounting 6x9s in boxes and then mounting the boxes to wheel wells.

2) mounting speakers into my floor of cargo area in the flip up cover for third seat option

3) mounting speakers into the tailgate.

Please advise if anyone has had any luck. I have already upgraded the front speakers and the deck. Will probably add a small subwoofer too.

Thanks,

Ed
