Noise from back end 89' 240 200 1989

Hi, I have noticed within the last few weeks that I am getting a deep rattling sound from the back end when making a sharp left turn, say pulling into a parking spot. I did have the brakes inspected at my last oil change and supposedly the pads are getting down there and was also told that I would need new brake rotors at my next brake job. Could this be the source of the noise I am hearing? I also had the Bilstein shocks installed within the last 6 months, but doubt this would be the source of the noise.
