Climate control unit 700 1991



Sorry to say I don't know how to check whether the compressor clutch is pulling in.

As for the shop, they're Volvo specialists, not cheap but generally thorough and not ones to try something fancy when something simple will do.

For example, when the ac compressor seized on my other, older Volvo, they rigged up an extra long bypass belt for 30 bucks so I could carry on without a new compressor, conversion etc. No AC but no poverty, either.

So now I am like a steamed clam in both cars.
