DESPERATE FOR HELP!!! STARTING PROBLEMS 200 1989

Rent a car. Cheaper than a divorce lawyer. Less painful than the cans of verbal whoop a** you will get if the brick dies of something on the trip. I came damn close to experiencing the former, and received more than my share of the latter. Been renting an SUV to go to the beach for the last 5 years. The peace of mind is astronomical. All things considered, the relative expense is negligable.

While your away, you can leave the brick and keys at the backyard mechanic's along with your cell phone #. He/she drives the car and duplicates the problem. You refer mechanic to this thread. Mechanic calls you with a reasonable $$$$ estimate. Car gets fixed while you are on vacation. Wife happy. Your happy.
