84 240 stopped running need help

Kent, what do you have to work with? Do you have a test light, multimeter, a service manual?

The '84 DL has an ordinary fuel pump relay at the passenger's feet, not one you can resolder, but with a test light and a map (or just knowing the euro relay terminal numbers 30-armature 87-NO 87A-NC) you can get a good handle on what is going on with your fuel pump power. The relay's coil is supplied through the 25A fuse on the inner fender wall and driven by the ECU's output when it recognizes ignition pulses are happening.

Yes, it could be this time you have no spark, if your hall effect sensor died or the plug on the ignition control unit is not making good contact.
