I'm having similar woes with my 94 940...I read your posts with interest!! shudder when braking at hwy. speed.. Had new rotors calipers and lines installed. Still have the shudder, though I notice it more in gear shifter than brake pedal. Volvo shop says rotors are in specs. Also replaced strutt rod bushings. Are Volvo wheels THAT sensitive to tightening lugs?? NOTE i have posted here within week abd have lots of recommendations...but you seem to have cured similar problem
