Strut boot cracked 700 1991

Hey fellow bricksters,
In doing a weekly inspection of my car I noticed the boot that protects my passenger side strut is all cut up. Its cracked all the way around, for the time being I mickey rigged some plastic wrap over the area in order to prevent dirt from getting in there. Now the question is do I have to buy a new strut or can the boot be replaced, it looks as though its part of a bigger system that runs into the cylinder outer shield and connects to a rubber fitting of some sort. If I have to replace them, not a total loss because I was looking into some adjustable suspension components, KYB I heard?

Thanks a million,
steve
