'90 740 16V Woes 700 1990

I got the full answer to my 740 16V motor problems. The main bearing is bad, so is a timing belt pulley. The car has 129,000 miles on it. In 1998 the timing belt broke and scattered the valves. She was put back together for $1,800 and that was just 9,000 miles ago.

The body is solid and the car is clean. The car drives great and I have to listen for the bearing, otherwise I forget the engine is bad. Am I looking at another 50 feet or 5,000 miles?

The car has all the repair records to date, all manuals and the $27,XXX window sticker. It would be a shame to junk the car, but is it a bad idea to rebuild it? Should I drive it until it drops or spend the money for a rebuild? What is to be expected if I delay the repair? Or should I sell the car off?

After I bought this car last month, I went out and bought a '90 760T that is mint.
