Urgent! Driveshaft replacement 1978-240

thanks Don,

I was told by the local guru that the spines are worn on the original.

I have it out of the car now, and there is perceptible movement, not much, but its there. But the main thing is that I can feel the movement when driving, and this after joints, center bearing , and donut replacement.

The movement is hard to detect. But once I was able to secure the shaft in the proper way, I can feel the movement. I dont know how much movement is allowed, but, at this point , Im figuring this must be the source of the vibration.

If you're still there, Id appreciate more input. I'll be making the trek to the boneyard in about 20 min.

Also, motor mounts are ok.

Thanks

Lawrence
