Needs a miracle - 240 w problems 200 1980

You said this was a non-turbo 240 engine. Originally the 262 had the main-pump and an accumulator. But the 240 motor setup uses 2 fuel filters, one next to the main-pump, and the second in the engine compartment? Which fuel filter did you replace?

If you replaced the main pump, with a 240 series pump and are still using a accumlator, you should replace the accumulator with a fuel filter.

The accumulator could have gone bad. If you have an accumlator next to the main-pump, remove the screw from the back of the accumulator. Try to start the car (u will need a second person), check to see if there is fuel coming from the hole. If there is, the accumulator is bad. This is better described in the bently manual.

If you would ever like to sell the car, I'm in the market for a converted 262.

Good Luck.
