AC retrofit EXPANSION VALVEINSTALLATION 200

I am installing my new evaporator and epxansion valve to improve AC performance, and I don't know where the pig-tail piece of the expansion valve goes.

The expansion valve has one thermocouple thing that screws into the AC pipe, and another one that has about 1/2" or so of tightly coiled copper tube (thermocouple thingy). I'm not sure where this goes.
