Water Valve and AC 900

Well my 93 945 isn't cooling too well in the hot weather. So, I checked the low pressure side, which read ~101 psi (should be 104 on a 90 F day). Its about 87/88 F here, so the 100 psi seems to make sense. No high side port on the 93 945, which really torques me off. Best the AC blows is 75 at the vent (idling in the driveway). I noticed without the AC on, the vent blows at 100 F. I'm wondering if the heat is slightly on. Any way to check the water valve under the hood? Are they known for leaking (9 yrs, 120 kmiles) before I break down and take it somewhere. Any way to assess that the compressor is OK? As always, thanks in advance.

Mike
