misfiring 120-130 1968

How old is your coil? If its stock , you might want to replace it regardless. As they wear down they only produce fractions of the amount of voltage they should, making the plugs less capable of burning off the exhaust grime. I did the Plug Chop method on my '73 Honda CB750, and while the plugs got a bit cleaner on full throttle , it turned out the coil was producing 6,000 volts vs the 35,000 it should! Go figure.

John thanks for the Volvo Penta exhaust idea, , , picked one up off Ebay
