Any difference between M46 in n/a 240 and 240T? 200

I know that the clutches are different, but did Volvo make any internal modifications to the trans. for use on the turbo cars? Are the O/D's the same?
I ask because I have a friend with an '84 242Ti who needs a trans. His wife drove the car for several miles at highway speed w/no oil in the trans (long story, believe me). I have a spare M46 that came out of an '82 DL wagon. Will it hold up in his car?
