Fuel pumps cut out. Please Help!!! 700 1990

I was wondering whether anyone else has had this problem...

The car is a 1990 740 Turbo. I've been having problems with the car suddenly stalling while driving, usually when making sharp right turns, when trying to start it. I know for a fact that sometimes the fuel pumps do not turn on while I'm trying to start it, so I'm assuming that they also are cutting out while I'm driving. Is there a relay for the fuel pumps? Are there any other components that could cause the fuel pumps to work intermittently?

Thank you in advance for your help!
