How to tell R134a system from R12 900 1991

Hi all,

How could I tell if my 1991 940SE Wagon has got the original R12 system in it or the retro fitted R134a. I've only had the car for a couple of years so I have no idea if this work was done.

The A/C is not blowing quite as cold as it was when I bought the car. Cool air still comes out but definately not how it should.

Thanks,

Joe
