Plastic heater control valve 900 1996

The water goes through the plastic valve body, not the vacuum bellows, and all the valves (OEM or aftermarket) have plastic. You will be fine as long as you realize that after eight years or so of hot water flow, the plastic tends to embrittle and may crack. If you change it, no problems.
