AC Conversion to R134a Gone Wrong. Need Help.

I got the conversion done today with the help of a family friend who is a mechanic and has all the tools at work. The R134a was ICE cold. Adjutable expansion valve is worth the $25. Then, pull in the driveway. Pop the hood, go back start it up and a loud PSSSHHHH and a white cloud floats away, now the AC blows little warm! Nooooo! :) What happened?! I need to take it back to him tomorrow for inspection! Anyone have any ideas, I got too used to it in 15 minutes and want it back...now :)

Any ideas?!? Thanks

Dan
My AC was nice for he whole 15 minutes :(
