before i buy the turbo bypass valve, i need som diagnosis help ! 700 1985

before i look into buying a possibly expensive part i wanted to ask for some advice first. my car will start in the morning and then idle imediately down to ooff. depending on the day it may take 2-4 starts to get the idle to run right. when i accelerate into the yellow area on the turbo gauge i now hear a turbo whine and i dont have the boost i used too either. any ideas?
