Tranny Fluid Mixing 900 1995

I've finally decided to change out the tranny fluid in my 95 965 to Mobil 1 Synthetic. I am using the drain and fill (batch) method. I drained the pan and put in three quarts of the new stuff. The old stuff looked much worse than I had expected, so I want to expedite things a bit. Now for the questions.

About how many miles will I need to drive to get good mixing of the old and new fluids prior to my next drain and fill? About how many drain and fill evolutions should it take to get the fluid pretty much changed out?

BTW, I plan on going to either a 5K or 10K drain and fill interval once the initial changeout is complete. Condition of the drained fluid will be my guide.
