tach and redline questions 200 1989

Recently I have installed a tach with a white outlined box starting at 6,000 and the red part starting at 6,500. I have an AW71 tranny and it usuall shifts around 5,500-5,750. I am going to add the M46 soon and I was wondering what the actual red line, max engine speed, for the B230F engine was. Is it the 6,000 or the 6,500, or neither? If you look at my web site soon I will have some more updated pictures. One more thing, do these cars have a rev limiter on the cap? If so at what RPM? Thanks to all, Joey
