91 240 AC electric fan self destructs!! Need help in Florida heat. 200

The impeller on my 91 240 AC fan (the one immediately behind the grille) is missing 3 of the blades, the other two blades are chewed up and the plastic hub is cracked and torn. The dealer only sells the whole unit, with the motor, mounting frame and impeller, and they want $440 US!!!!

Has anyone had this problem before?? The motor is still good, all I need is the impeller. I have gone to local junk yards and they click on their PCs and check around; no luck. One yard did have a 740 fan. It did have a slightly different impeller, but the frame measurements, fan circumference, width and the bolt hole pattern is identical. Anyone ever do some creative swapping with a 740??

I have no idea how this happened; I lent the car to my college bound son :( while I graciously replaced the thermostat and performed other maintenance on his car before he goes off in fall :)

Please send any advice, ideas or manufacturers you know of. Better yet, maybe someone has one for sale?
