1975 245, B20 engine, anything I should be aware of? 200

The insurance company isn’t offering me enough to replace my 84 turbo now, so it could take a while to work out. So I’m buying a new Volvo out of my pocket.

I found a 1975 245 at a decent price. Apparently it’s in pretty respectable condition. I’m checking it out tomorrow. It has manual everything and has been converted to a 4-speed stick and manual steering. Has turbo sway bars and overload springs. There’s 190k on the clock, but only 150k on the motor. It has a B20 under the hood with K-jet injection.

For now, I’m just looking for a rock solid reliable ride. I don’t want ANY problems. In fact, the low horse power, 4 gears, and manual steering almost sounds like fun. In the future, I’d love to clean it up and perhaps restore it fully, or maybe build a Volvo hotrod out of it.

What should I look for? Rust? Smoke? Bad shifting transmission? Is there any major glaring issues with the 75’s? Will I have trouble finding parts for it or the engine?

Thanks everyone!
