Why is my car vibrating? 700 1992

Could be a bad U-joint (although you checked yours).

Could be a worn tailshaft bushing in the tranny (but you checked yours).

Could be bad engine mounts.

The hydraulic engine mounts in my '91 740 failed at around 150K, more or less, and created a high-pitched noise-vibration-drumming inside the car at highway speeds. It was less noticeable at lower speeds.

Check the clearance 'tween the pan and crossmember. It should be at least 1/2" and more like 1". Anything less than 1/2" and it suggests that your mounts have collapsed.
