Another question, this one on my idle control motor again 700 1988

Yesterday, i tried to test my idle control motor. I started the car up and unpluged the ICM. The car's idle speed was not affected whatsoever. Then i started the a/c. The idle dropped about 150 to 200 rpms, but the car did not stall.

When i plugged the ICM back in with the a/c still on, the car reved up to 1600 to almost 1800 rpms. It seemed to keep going up.

Is this normal??

Did i test it properly?
