Ongoing engine cuttiig out problem 700 1990

FWIW: Had almost identical issue w/ my 89 745. Replaced Crank position sensor, and it cleared right up. HOWEVER, every now and again (3-4 months) the car won't start, and I have to pop the hood, unplug the crank position sensor (up by the firewall), plug it back in, and all is well again. Someday I'll fix that connection.

But, it could be your issue. it's a $30/15 minute repair.

Might be worth a shot...

Bob
