Radiator hose problems 700 1988

As others have noted, the mechanic probably cracked the outlet twisting the old hose off which is easy to do. I ignored the plastic radiator problem like and idiot on our 91 740 and had it fail on us 500 miles from home on vacation ruining the automatic transmission in the process to the tune of $1000. Some quality high temperature silicone sealant or plastic weld might buy you a little time but I'd junk that radiator ASAP.
