Emergency Brake cable replacement 700

Greetings:

I have a 88 740 GLE non-turbo with a AW-70 transmission and Girling calipers. I wanted to replace the entire emergency brake cable system. Do i have a multi-link? And also how hard of a job is it to do the replacement of such an item? The dealer stated that if it was multi-linked that it would cost a lot more for labor/parts, they said that it was 2 types. Also what tools would i need, and how long of a job is it. I am very mechanically inclined, i just need some insight from experienced everyday Volvo owners/mechanics.

Thanks in Advance

Best Regards
