144 Q&A, AKA:i need some help 140-160 1973

i have a 73 144 i've driven daily for about 1 year...i'm ready for some mods, and i need the consensus

tranny swap...i heard of doing a toyota 5-speed...fact or fiction?...if fact i need part #s, etc...just a point in the right direction would help (and i dont want no funky OD tranny)

injection system conversion...weber the way to go?...part#, etc...how about swapping a throttle body from a later model?...18mpgs aint cuttin' it (also reason for tranny swap...that and i want to go faster)

lastly...i need a fuel tank...any leads?

thanks in advance for any helpful hints (i know you guys are full of them)
