No pin stripe 900

My 93 940 turbo wagon (white) does not have a pin stripe. I recently noticed 2 other white 940s (incl a 93 940 turbo wagon currently on eBay) that have a pin stripe along the entire car length on each side. I actually like mind w/o it, but I'm curious about the differences that I have noticed?
