A/C Problems in Hot-Lanta S90-V90 1996

I have a 96 960 with the "electronically controlled A/C" and a couple of days ago it started acting up. Cold air still comes out. I can still change the speed of the fan from nothing at all to full blast. BUT...the air will only come out at my feet and from the top of the dash (where the defroster is). Its like the setting is stuck on the setting where the air only comes out of those two spots. The setting with the up and down arrow. I want the air to come out the front vents, but no matter which way I turn the middle dial, the air will not change positions. It still gets the car cool because it is putting out cold air, it just takes a lot longer because its coming out the small vents where the defroster is and where my feet is. If any of you have had this problem, whether you drive a 960, S90, or V90, please let me know how you fixed it or what the problem was.
