The main fuel pump is located such that one can almost touch it, up and behind of the LR wheel. Put your ear near there while someone turns the key to position II. It should kick it for a short while.

The in-tank pump can be heard by listening at the gas filler pipe, hold the little "unleaded only" flap open.

At the risk if being insulting, it's not just out of gas, is it?
