How to install voltmeter?one red,one black.wire 700 1990

Ebay voltmeter apparently taken from turbo.
one red wire,one black wire.
It does not look like the 200 series,which has 4 wires(a la Foster photo in archives)
Assuming I have no trouble pulling a 'virgin territory'instrument cluster off,how to install the two wires?Are all 740 GL cluster with the rectangular shape the same.
Mine does not have the voltmeter and the turbo gauge,being a non-turbo.
