hot relay, what does it all mean?

I have a similar problem. Have not tried anything yet, as suspension is a priority right now. I'm hoping the gremlins do not change my priorities.

Mike Ponte's Site is a good place to start. Also, conduct a search on this site using "window relay" (no quotes) and you will find a plethora of info.

I have called around the Richmond, VA area and the local indy techs say the relays in Volvos are good for about 12 years. I hate to buy a relay as it is an unreturnable part.

Hope this helps.
