Electrical & suspension problems 700 1991

Hi Folks,

My 744 has developed two annoying symptoms within the last few days, and for some reason, both are on the left side of the car...

1. The left turn signal has gone haywire. It blinks at twice the normal speed and only lights up in the back. The front bulb is relatively new but won't flash. This problem developed shortly after the RIGHT front turn signal unit was replaced. (The right signal functions normally.)

2. The front left side of the car is also making a knocking sound. It happens when the wheel is turned left at low speeds such as in a parking lot, and sometimes on the highway. The "knock" is significant enough that the rear passengers feel it.

If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful to hear them. Thanks in advance.
