reset on 960 on board computer 900 1996

I have a 1996 960 Volvo and I am required to have it tested for licensing.
During the emissions testing process the test site did not know it could not be turned off and then immediately back on without shutting down the diagnostics. I was told to drive it 40 miles and the on-board computer would reset itself. After 65 miles it has not reset itself. I am told there is a "driving sequence" I may need to go through to get the on-board computer to reset itself and allow testing.

Does anyone know what the sequence might be?
