Hard cold start 200 1989

Sounds like the ECU isn't getting the word that the engine is cold. Figure out which temp sensor is the one for the FI system (the other one is for the temp gauge), and check the condition of the wiring. When the engine is cold, according to Haynes the resistance across the sensor should be 2100-2900 ohms; 250-300 ohms when the engine is hot.
