Got it!

Enough rocking back and forth and she came out.

For those of you who have 10 year old relays and pull them out expecting some sort of mess...I guess these things either look really bad, due to arcing caused by some malfunctioning accessory down the circuit, or, they look like mine...as if they had just come out of the factory, with all parts literally gleaming under their snap-cover.

I inspected all the solder connections on the back of the board, nothing awry. Just to be sure, got out the multimeter and checked continuity while operating the spring-contacts by hand. A-OK.

What I can't figure out is, if the relay and the fuse are fine (I checked the fuse for continuity too), then why has the main pump stopped making its trademark "bzzzt" when I turn the key to On?

WELL...maybe, as has been theorized elsewhere...maybe this is a sign of main pump failure (without total failure. I drive the car around just fine, once it starts.)
