Rear Door 'Threashold' Trim 200 1986

On my 86 240 Stationwagon, I need to remove the carpet from the back seat. There is a plastic trim over the "threashold" at the left rear. You can see this when you open the left rear door. The kids step on this when they get in and out of the car. I can not figure out how to remove this piece without damaging it. Please help.
