Head replacement/transplant question

If the head is your only problem than fix the head and keep the car a turbo. To put a non turbo motor in is tedious as one has to change over the electronics, injection system, exhaust etc etc.If your block is OK and want to run it as a non turbo you will not have a lot of power as the turbo motor has a lower compression ratio.A 240 head will work although most of them do not have the "notch" at the end of the cam for the 740 distributor.Too many issues to deal with especially if not that familiar with the diferences between the two motors/systems.Bottom line keep it a turbo or get a non turbo car.Much cheaper in the end.
