LH threaded wheel lugs? 444-544

I just got a new (to me) PV544E. Took it in for tires, and discovered that the left rear lugs are all left-hand thread. All others are RH thread, just like on my other PV.

Did earlier cars have LH threads on one side? I'm thinking someone must have replaced a drum with a different part at some point...
