Need help on new car (what else is new) 200 1985

Greeting one and all,

I have to get my newly bought volvo up and running. It's a 1985 244 GL with a B23 motor (yes someone change the B230). She starts right up and runs good, but here is what's happening.
1) doesn't idle when cold - idles beautiful when warm.
2) leaks alot of tranmission fliud (looking for the spot and have JB weld)

Thats seems to be the most of my problems, gave a gal $700 for a nice looking car, just have to iron out a few bugs to have it running good again. Thanx will keep you all posted.
