Radio does not work. Please help. 700 1986

I have a 740 GLE. I got in my car the other day and I tried to turn on the radio and it would not work. I would like to know if it is the antenna or not. I do not think that it is because the A.M. stations come in. I did not know if it would be the antenna or not. When you push the seek button the radio frezes and you can't do anything. If you know why it is doing this please let me know.
