Advice - B16 Oil Change Problems 120-130 1960

Somehow I cannot get a perfect seal around the B16 metal oil casing and oil leaks after the engine is stopped. I speculate the canister has been over tightened and may be slightly mis-aligned with the rubber seal. Has anyone seen this before and do you think I need a new metal casing? Any idea where I can buy a new one? CVI doesn't list this in their catalog, but may be able to locate one in Sweden.
