more 164 problems 140-160 1975

Matt,

Sounds fuel related to me . Have you changed the fuel filter, or pulled the injectors to check the spray pattern? How about the air filter?
I love the the 164's and have had two myself. They do seem to get lousy gas mileage though. I rebuilt the engine on one of them and still have a lot of parts for the 164 (1974, though almost everything is the same) there was recently one for sale on this board in the wisconsin area. e-mail me if you are interested in any used parts. Beware, some of the 164's had bad cams in them, and IPD sells a replacement that is much harder than the orig. Good luck.
