Inner Tie Rods -- replacement cost? Please help this disullioned Volvo owner 200 1991

Hi all,

I have owned this 91 240 for 1 year and honestly am beginning to think about buying a new car. Before I get flamed, let me explain. I paid 3,000 for this car and it had only 66,000 miles on it, great condition of interior, but faded paint. I have spent the following in one year:
A/C 900
Replace part of door hinge/rocker panel due to rust damage: $500
Radio 100
Engine Seals, Tune up, water pump, wiper motor, odometer, thermostat, etc: 1,000
Ball joints, AMM, exhaust 400
4 tires 250
Tail light assemblies 250
Other maintenance 400

Total USD6,550 - 3,000 initial price: 3,250 (taking off the rust repair) which equals out to around 250 per month for the 13 months I've owned this car and I am sure I'm forgetting things.

The car was trouble warm starting (unless I give it lots of gas), the bulb indicator is insane, and I keep having to clean the power window switches. The gauges don't accurately reflect temperature and fuel levels.
Now I have to replace the inner tie rods as well as differential seal. How much should this cost? I'm getting seriously worried that this may be a bottemless pit and honestly after this is becoming a true worry in particular since the previous owner has service records and if true, the service was performed at regular intervals. I have the receipts but who know if the mechanic was ripping her off.

Thanks,
r
