Used 230FT engine ,is there any thing i should look for? 700 1989

I think I found a good used 230FT engine. Cylinders have some wear, pistons are clean. Head looks good. I want to keep it simple, can i just have the head milled and clean it up and put it in? Can any one suggest pitfalls I will face. I am a 3rd degree shade tree mechanic with a decent shop. Looks like a little more that a paper thickness of wear in cyliders and fairly consistant wear on all 4 cyls. (gonna mic it today). I am new to volvos, I am loving this brickboard!! So much info; my wife thinks I'm down in the basement looking at porno on the computer, little does she know!! Ha Ha!
Any info will be appriciated, Ilive in GM country and am risking my life even talking about VOLVOS!!!
