Front end and brakes..Help 200 1987

Hey guys,

I have a few questions. My 244 dl has worn the outer treads on my front tires, why? I had a ball joint replaced, and wasn't told to get an aligment. Any ideas?

When I step on the brakes, meduim to light pressure, I hear a thud, coming from the rear. It doesn't do it everytime, but when it does it, it will do for a little while and then stop. ??????

I think I need to update my brake line, I want quailty, any sugestions?
