automatic transmission stays in low range. 200

The automaic transmission on my 245 in low range and the light on the dash is lighting up as it should. The problrm is that I can't get it to respond to the button on the shifter knob. The transmission has performed perfectly up to this point, just went over 200K. I hope that this is a simple selenoid or electrical problem of somt type. Help
